Aug 21, 2012 at 3:51 AM

Hello all,

I installed this via NuGet.
trying testing it out and it looks good but when I chat it just goes offline for no apparent reason and shows the contact form. I have no Idea why this is happening. Anyone have any idea what I might look at?

Hey there,

I just created a blank new ASP.NET MVC 4 (VS2012) project, added LCSK via NuGet and it stay connected.

Just a wild guess, you have to stay on the http://localhost:50148/chat/go/ page to stay online. While you click on the status link and set yoursefl online, you have to keep a browser on that page open, if you quit, there is a mechanism to turn the status offline of course.

Let me know if it fix the situation.

when i use these scripts to show chat box

<script src="/Scripts/jquery.signalR-1.0.0-alpha2.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="/signalr/hubs" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="/LCSK/chat.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

There is a javascript error in the chat.js file. At the "$.connection.hub.start()" line.

Error name: "cannot not read property "hub" of undifined"

Then the chat client show "Offline status"

Make sure you have the Microsoft SignalR package install. Did you install LCSK via Nuget or manually? If you installed it manually you have to install SignalR from the Package Management Console.

Hope that help.
